Scotch & Rye’s Andrew makes it 2 for 2 in local cocktail competitions!

Yes, he’s gone and done it again!

Following the success of our head honcho in last years’ Tennessee Calling cocktail competition, which saw him flown off to New York for a guest shift at The worlds best bar 2016, The Dead Rabbit, Jack Daniels got in touch, and wanted to see what the rest of Inverness had to offer!

And they didn’t disappoint!

With an overwhelming number of entries, from Scotch & Rye, Bar One, the Den, The Lovatt hotel, The white house, and more, the judges had the tough job of whittling the entries down to a top 10!

Then on Monday 15th May at Bar One, the top ten gathered and presented each of their drink in front of the three judges!

What an incredible display of innovation, creativity and knowledge was on show, each person with a unique drink, and a passionate and interesting presentation and inspiration to boot!

The competition was tight, but in the end there was a clear stand out winner.  With a deliciously light combination of Jack Daniels Old No.7, Cocci rosa vermouth, A pomegranate & dill shrub, aromatic bitters and a grapefruit ipa foam, along with a presentation inspired by the processes and love that go into the production of Jack Daniels, Andrew presented “Jack and Dill”.

The scoring was unanimous, and Andrew showed he was strongest competitor of the day!

Congratulations brother!  Keep it going!
